Stave Bearer Vacancy

Hertford Town Council is recruiting for a Stave Bearer to accompany the Mayor and Sergeants at Mace at Hertford Town Council.

This traditional role accompanies the Mayor at Civic events and participates in the ceremonial activities of the Council.

The successful candidate will need to interact with courtesy and respect with a wide range of people including members of the public, Councillors and dignitaries.

An attendance allowance is given per event (usually 5 - 10 events a year) plus mileage costs will be paid where appropriate.

Ceremonial uniforms are also provided.
