Public Toilets
The public amenities in Hertford are situated on The Wash by the Six Templars public house and managed directly by Wetherspoons. There are also facilities in Hartham Common by the Leisure Centre managed by East Herts District Council as part of their contract with Everyone Active.
Additionally Hertford Museum also provide facilities as part of the community toilet scheme.
Swimming Pools
The Everyone Active Leisure centre in Hartham Common features a 33m heated main pool that comes with a boom feature to create a 25m pool and a teaching area. Everyone Active offer a wide range of activities in the pool areas, including fitness sessions, Family Swims, Wet ‘n’ Wild inflatable sessions, aqua aerobics, and award-winning swimming lessons. Transport
Hertford is well served by two railway stations with trains arriving from London every fifteen minutes.
Hertford East has a half hourly service from London Liverpool Street. Hertford East station is a 5-10 minute walk from the town centre.
Hertford North station is a 15 minute walk from the town centre. Hertford North station is on the Letchworth Garden City line served from Moorgate with a journey time of approx. 40 minutes.

The town’s bus station by the Bircherley Green Shopping Centre is a destination for bus routes around Hertfordshire, to Harlow and Stansted (via Harlow) and Heathrow Airports.
