Hertford Town Council is pleased to announce that the Mayor of Hertford Councillor Vicky Smith is hosting a Tea and Tour at Hertford Castle which will take place on 20th August 12 noon to 4 pm.
Hertford Castle will be open to explore the Castle rooms, including the Mayor's Parlour, Robing room, and the themed basement. This event will give an insight into the historic Grade 1 listed building, with tour guides on hand to impart historical knowledge. Tours will operate every 30/45 mins from 12 pm, with the last tour at 3.30 pm. During this time refreshments will be available to enjoy with the Mayor in the beautiful Castle grounds.

Tickets for the Tea and Tour event are £7 for an Adult, £3 for Children (under 18) and Under 3s are FREE! Tea and cake (alternatives available) are included in the ticket. All proceeds will be donated to the Mayor of Hertford’s Appeal Fund, this year raising money for Mudlarks and Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust. The Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Vicky Smith, said: “I am so excited to host this event and to encourage people to see the castle and the wonderful history it has. I will be pouring tea and serving cakes to anybody who wants to attend. Everybody is welcome!”
