Rock at the Castle

Posted in Press Release

This year’s diverse line-up includes a showcase of young and upcoming talent covering a range of musical tastes. The free music festival will be held in the grounds of Hertford Castle and has seen thousands of visitors return year on year.

Chosen Charity Although Rock at the Castle is a free event to attend, this year’s selected charity, The Hertford Pantry, will be fundraising on the gates. The charity was selected from many applications by Hertford Town Councillors. The Hertford Pantry addresses the pressing issues of food waste and food poverty in the local community. They are committed to supporting the community without judgement, creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.

The funds raised from Rock at the Castle will go towards purchasing essential supplies like ambient food, sanitary items, baby products, and toiletries. Line-up With three stages spread over three different areas there will be something for everyone. The main stage will be on the main lawn along with refreshment stands, and the Moat Garden and the Island stages will be home to solo and duo acts with a more relaxed and acoustic inspired feel.

The line-up is subject to change. Hertford Town Council is grateful to our headline sponsor, McMullen’s Brewery as well as associate sponsor, Substance global.

Visitors are limited to bringing no more alcohol onto site than four cans of beer/cider/pre-mixed drinks or one bottle of wine which will be decanted on entry per person into the premises before 4pm. No glass will be allowed on site. This event is part of Hertford Town Council’s long tradition of providing events in the Castle Grounds.
