RAISE A GLASS - HERTFORD PUBS, RESTAURANTS AND BARS HAVE RE-OPENED

Posted in General

On Saturday 4th July, following in the footsteps of shops, Hertford was thrilled to welcome residents and visitors back to restaurants, barber shops, hairdresser salons, cafes, bars and pubs after being closed to the public for months. The atmosphere on Saturday in the county town was electric and a celebratory ambience filled the air and finally Hertford has reopened.

Hertford is lucky to be the home of variety of culinary delights, varying from independent cuisines such as The Turkish Kitchen, who have over 30 years’ experience in Turkish cuisine, to Oishii, who offer authentic Japanese dishes, to Old Siam who provide mouth-watering Thai cuisine.

You’re spoilt for choice from the range of pubs, bars and restaurants in Hertford, and now they have reopened, they need your support more than ever.

The Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Bob Deering, took to the streets to welcome back businesses on 4th July and said:

“I would like to ‘raise a glass’ to the pubs, bars, restaurants, hairdressers and barbers who have reopened their doors to the public today.

When you need to shop, please shop locally within our County Town as Hertford businesses need your support more than ever.”It is down to us, as residents of Hertford to use the high street shops and businesses on our doorstep, to continue the community spirit and comradery already shown, by supporting and buying from these businesses. Every pound spent locally helps boost the Hertford economy, helps keep jobs in the town, helps support independent family businesses and helps put Hertford on the map.

Famous Hertford based brewers, McMullen’s Brewery said:

“We are excited to once again open the doors of our great pubs for the community to enjoy.”
