Prior to Covid-19 restrictions, Hertford Town & Tourist information Centre regularly hosted surgeries with Hertford Town Councillors for members of the public to meet with their local Town Councillor. As the Centre is currently closed to the public due to the lockdown restrictions, surgeries are going to be hosted online via Zoom.
These surgeries offer an opportunity for residents to discuss concerns, ideas and the wide range of services that the Town Council provides within Hertford, Bengeo & Hertingfordbury. The first session, with Cllr Alex Daar and Cllr Jane Sartin in attendance, is taking place on Saturday 23rd January between 11am and 1pm, and residents can register for a 15 minute meeting.
Further sessions are planned on the below dates and times:
Saturday 20th February – 11 am to 1 pm
Saturday 20th March – 11 am to 1 pm
To register, simply send an email to tic@hertford.gov.uk with your name and preferred time slot, and a brief description of the topic you wish to discuss.
Chairman of Hertford Town Council’s Development and Leisure Committee, Cllr Jane Sartin, said: “When we were able to hold the Councillors’ surgeries in person at the Town & Tourist Information Centre, they were a useful opportunity for residents to discuss matters with Hertford Town Councillors. Whilst online surgeries might not be quite the same, they will hopefully provide another way to talk to Councillors until we can resume in-person sessions.”
Residents in Hertford Town Council’s area can also make contact directly with the Councillor for the ward they live in, with contact details on the Council’s website.
