After seeing Gingerlillie Boutique, The Old Barge and Mudlarks Garden Café triumph last year at the Love Hertford Awards, amongst many other fantastic winners, it’s an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the wealth of shops and services on offer in our town.

Businesses are invited to enter free of charge for a chance to be crowned winner in the following categories:
Fashion
Pub or Restaurant
Café or Fast Food
Hair and Beauty
Health and Wellbeing
Home and Interiors
Community and Voluntary
Food and Drink Retailers
Professional Services (eg banks, estate agents, travel agents, insurance brokers etc)
Specialised Retail (eg florist, jeweller, dry cleaner, cobbler etc)

Businesses who sell merchandise or offer a service within a retail unit can enter into a maximum of two categories for this year’s awards.

Entry forms can be collected from the Town & Tourist Information Centre or you enter online by visiting www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/lovehertford

The closing date is Saturday 18th April at 5pm, so be sure to get your entries in before then.

The public will then have a chance to cast their votes for the preferred winner for each category and more information on nominees will be available at the end of April so keep an eye on the News section for an update.

The winner and finalist will be announced at an awards ceremony at Hertford St Andrew’s Church on 25th June 2020.

Chairman of the Development and Leisure Committee, Cllr Jane Sartin said: “The Love Hertford Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the wealth of shops and services on offer in Hertford. I encourage all those running businesses in the town centre and community shopping areas which are open to the public to consider entering the competition in order that their customers have the opportunity to vote for them once the competition gets fully underway.”
