Hertford Town Council’s Finance, Policy and Administration Committee met on Monday 15th March 2021 where grants of almost £63 000 were awarded to six Hertford-based organisations and good causes.
Presdales School Academy Trust were awarded a New Homes Bonus Grant of £10 000 to assist with the cost of installation of LED floodlights to their four netball/tennis courts.
New Homes Bonus Grants were also awarded to Hertford Football Club who were awarded a grant of £30 000 towards upgrading Hertford Town FC's pitch to a 3G surface and Courtyard Arts were awarded a grant of £20 000 to redevelop the centre to provide an additional teaching studio.
Community grants were awarded to:
Hertford Music Festival who were awarded £1,200 towards the cost of promoting this year’s event.
Unite Community Radio were awarded £711.79 towards equipment to set up a community radio with the aim to bring people together in the local area.
CHIPS Playschemes who were awarded £1,028.66 towards the cost to refurbish the sensory room at the Selections Children's Centre based on the site of Sele School.
Community grants of up to £1 200 are available for organisations, charities and businesses for projects which show a clear benefit to Hertford residents.

Applications are considered quarterly at the meetings of the Finance, Policy and Administration Committee. Deadlines for receipt of applications is the 14th May, 15th September and 1st December 2021.

Grants of up to £1,200 are awarded under this scheme for a range of purposes; including public events, projects being undertaken by local voluntary organisations and endeavours by individuals which show a clear benefit to Hertford residents.
New Homes Bonus Grants
Grants of up to £30,000 are available from the New Homes Bonus fund for ambitious projects to enhance and improve communities in Hertford. Available funding will be used to support and encourage a diverse range of improvement schemes and projects across all age ranges, a wide range of interests and wherever possible innovative initiatives to meet the needs of Hertford residents and businesses.
