With schools out for summer and parents/guardians looking for free activities to entertain the kids, Hertford Play Day has something on offer for all ages.
Hertford Play Day is organised by Hertford Town Council and takes place on Wednesday 2nd August from 11 am – 4 pm in the Town Centre. As part of the national Play Day initiative, the Town Council has organised an abundance of activities, most of which are free of charge or low-cost to participate in.
Free Activities & Shows Include:
Magic shows
Circus workshop
Balloon modelling
Garden Games
Market Stalls and activities.
The Mayor of Hertford, Councillor Vicky Smith, will be hosting the annual Children’s Cupcake Decorating Competition on Fore Street between 11 am and 3 pm.
There will also be an Art activity stall opposite the cake stand! Salisbury Square will be the destination for fans of magic shows, and for those wanting a balloon model then Bircherley Green is the place to be. Maidenhead Street will be alive with stalls and a BBQ whilst, at the Castle, kids can join the circus or play with the novelty garden games.
