Join Hertford Town Council to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King, on Sunday 7th May 2023, at Hertford Castle.
To mark this historic occasion, the Town Council will be running a FREE family-friendly event on the Castle Grounds, themed “Picnic on the Lawn”. There will be a host of activities for all to enjoy, including a Castle Open Day, garden games, children’s ‘King and Queen’ fancy dress competition, face painting, food and drink, live music, and much more.
In the evening, the celebrations continue with a live broadcast of the Coronation Celebration Concert taking place nationally and internationally, featuring an orchestra, and specially created choirs. This will be streamed live on a large screen on the Castle Grounds.
The day will begin with a Civic Service held for The King at All Saints’ Church, Hertford at 10 AM, which everyone is welcome to attend.
Join us to mark this momentous occasion and celebrate with friends, family, and the local community, as part of the official Coronation Weekend of celebrations.
