Hertford Food and Drink Festival

Hertford Town Council is hosting its annual Food and Drink Festival throughout the county town on the weekend of Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July 2024. 

The event kicks off on Saturday 6th with participating Town Centre businesses offering an array of discounts and promotions. See details below.

On Sunday 7th, head over to Hertford Castle, 12 - 6pm, to enjoy an afternoon filled with worldly tastes and live music. With an extensive beer tent offering a variety of local and national beers, ales and ciders, and several world food stalls, there is something for everyone to sample and enjoy. The Castle will also be open until 4pm for the public to explore free of charge.

The event is FREE to attend, however visitors welcome to donate to the Mayor of Hertford’s Charity Appeal Fund, which this year is supporting Hertford and District Guides & Citizens Advice East Herts. 

Town Centre Special Offers and Discounts

• Pearl Milk Bar - 10% discount on food items.
• Tilly's Gelato - 10% discount on full menu. Plus, Guess the Mystery Flavour! Customers can enjoy a free sample of a mystery gelato flavour, write down a guess, and be put it into a lucky dip to win a prize.

Travelling to the Event

Hertford Town Council declared a Climate Emergency in July 2023 and has committed to taking action to protect human health and our natural world to the maximum extent its powers allow. We therefore encourage people to come to our events by public or active transport. The two Hertford railway stations, Hertford North and Hertford East, are a short walk from the Castle, and bus services are available to the Wash and Hertford bus station. Please visit National Rail for live train times and Intalink for bus routes.
