Hertford Dark Skies

Hertford Dark Skies

In collaboration with the Hertford Astronomy Group, Bayford Observatory, Herts Wildlife Trust, Dark Skies International and a number of local community and youth groups, the Castle will host an evening of stargazing, educational talks and entertainment.

Tickets: Dark Skies (nuwebgroup.com)

Tickets numbers were limited this year as this is the first time an event of this nature has been considered. By necessity, the event will have limited lighting, and a proportionate cap on visitor numbers has been imposed for the benefit and safety of those in attendance.

We may release further tickets nearer the time, so please keep an eye on the website and social media pages for updates.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • The Castle grounds can only be accessed by foot at the Castle Gates adjacent to The Wash

  • Suitable warm clothing is advised

  • Food Vendor on site serving hot food and drinks

  • During the event there will be a specific time period where the lights will be turned off. Security, St Johns and Council Staff will be monitoring the grounds for your welfare

  • Walk ways will be suitably lit for your safety.
